I get a pinging sometimes at high RPM, since I can only get 91 octane, and the best octane to use in these cars is 93, I need an octane booster that works like it advertises, or need to get racing fuel and boost the octane that way. any recommendations? Thanks guys

You can try running some E85 in your car. E85 has an octane rating of 100+. It's cheaper per gallon than 91. However your overall gas mileage will go down some. Don't waste your money on those little 12-oz bottles of octane boost you see at the automotive store. They claim they raise your octane by 3 or 4 points. That's DECIMAL POINTS! So your 91 octane gas + 12-oz of octane booster = 91.4 octane gas. It would be cheaper to just buy race gas.

The only problem is racing fuel is not readily available at every mom and pop. Living in Northern Nevada, I'm stuck with California crap 91, and racing fuel is only sold in 5 gallon drums or more, and I still have to drive 30 miles to get that, and E85 is only available in a station about 70 miles from me, so I would have to stock up on extra if I was to head 70 miles one way, but I guess it would be an excuse to go out of town.
