Don't see why you couldn't use a metal clip versus a plastic one as long as it's the same shape & size as the stock clips. You should be able to get them from most any large auto parts supplier like AutoZone.
well i just found out, those clips I need for the fuse panel door are different than the clips for the dash trim, not sure what I was thinking, even though i needed some extra clips for the dash trim anyway. This is the clip I'm looking for
