Looks like the 4 banger wont be called SVO after all. In fact the 2.3 Ecoboost S550 won't even be a stand alone model, looks like the 2.3 EcoBoost will simply be an upgrade option on V6 Trims and offered as base engine globally.

Interesting, I just can't believe why ford wouldn't make the ecoboost a model on its own. so do we have an idea on how much the upgrade costs would be for the alternative ecoboost engine on the V6 coupe?

well i know that the Lincoln MKC is using the same 2.3 EcoBoost as the mustang and the MKc has a similar type deal where the 2.3 is an upgrade option. On MKC the 2.3 is a $1000 upgrade, so I think thats a fair place to begin speculation. Although the MKC's is detuned vs the S550 and Mustang also has revised exhaust and intake manifolds so we'll see.
