A 2019 2.3 mustang. It started leaking coolant with white smoke from tail pipe. Bought performance head gasket for $140 and called a garage to come get it. It needed a head gasket. They called me back and said they came to the conclusion it was the turbo not the head gasket. I said ok fix it. After $1920 I got the car back. It didn't have the engine cover on it and after driving it there was still white smoke coming out the pipe and coolant level dropping. After a few more unpleasant words swapped with the owner of the garage they agreed to look at it. They still said it was fine but by now it wouldn't start in the morning or other times. Took it to a reputable mechanic and diagnosed blown head gasket immediately. Took the head off and it had a tiny groove in it where the gasket blew. Resurfaced the head, bought ARP head studs instead of bolts. By this time I've already done some research. Turns out this is the most common issue and symptoms for that motor. That's why I upgraded the bolts. Put it back together and After one day it would start smoking (steam). Hasn't over heated but coolant is low and it throws a code of misfiring. No oil in water or vice versa. No smoking that I can tell. Any idea what's wrong with it?
