Any of you guys have problems with your mustang headlights? mine are hazing already. some people say water gets into the headlights on these mustangs, and you need to remove them, drain and dry them out, then reinstall and put a silicone sealant in to keep the water from getting in again. what have you experienced/ heard about these S550 mustang's headlights ?

Haven't had this problem on our Mustang. Wife washes the car weekly since it's a daily driver. Haven't found any water trapped in the headlights.

I don't know, it was just something I read. honestly I'm disappointed in these cars

I am having some issues with a slight haze on my headlights. It's only noticeable at night and specifically where the actual lens illuminates. I do see slight scratches when close up. Dont want to attempt to sand as I might damage them. Was thinking of taking it to a detail shop and see what they say. Or maybe even the dealer. I dont know if im being too picky but it just doesnt look right especially with my 8000k HIDs. My car is 2017 ive had it for 10 months and I know it was sitting on the lot for a while maybe 4-6 months. Any sugesstions?

So there's no chance those 8000k HIDs are hotter than the stock lights and the added heat is causing the issue?


Why in the world would you go with 8000k HIDs? They are way too blue for me and they just piss off other drivers. Just curious...

That does make sense but I can clearly see the scratches on the headlights when illuminated. Maybe they are more noticeable with the 8000k. Seem to remember having this issue before I had the 8000k in. Btw I enjoy my 8000k HIDs (diode dynamics). The blue they give off is very slight. Normal headlights seem boring when compared. As far as blinding other drivers... I did have to adjust the headlights once installed as they were way too high. I might adjust them further before my next mod. Hopefully I'm not blinding anybody ill have to test it further. Now I'm thinking of switching to 6000k.. We 'll see.
