Ford seems set to make a number of performance announcements at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show in January. One involves a Mustang, and the rest are pretty cool too.
Shelby GT350R: The 350R should get better aerodynamics, better brakes, and better tires. The back seat will probably be ditched with additional bracing likely. This car will go head to head with the Camaro Z/28.
F-150 Raptor: The next Raptor is bound for Detroit too, but we have few details as of yet.
Ford GT: A Ford GT replacement should be coming up in Detroit too. There are signs that Ford is preparing a Le Mans GTE-class car for 2016. A road car counterpart would be introduced too, and Detroit will be the place to announce it.
New Performance Sub-Brand: This new performance sub-brand would be like BMW's M or Mercedes Benz's AMG brands. We still don't have a name for the brand yet, though '999' was being floated.
The Ford Focus RS could debut in Detroit, but it is more likely to appear in Europe, perhaps at Geneva.
All said, it is probably going to be an exciting Detroit Auto Show.
