Ford released a teaser video to get people excited about the upcoming 2016 Mustang Shelby GT350. The video doesn't really give us much info, but what it does give us is some shots of the chassis and a listen to the new Mustang's exhaust note. We also know that it will be track-focused, which I assume means powerful.
Ford Performance's Raj Nair said, "We knew we wanted it to be extremely free-revving, we wanted to have low inertia, obviously develop a lot of horsepower, and develop a lot of horsepower per liter, to be efficient, and also be lightweight." This Mustang should be as close to a racecar as you'll get within the Mustang line of vehicles.
The Mustang Gt350 will run on a naturally-aspirated, flat-crank version of the 5.0-liter Coyote V8, punched out to a larger displacement.
We should get all the details about the 2016 Mustang Shelby GT350 on November 17th.
