First look at the S550 EcoBoost Engine Bay

None of the hoods were supposed to be open at NAIAS on the s550, however somehow one of the EcoBoost Mustangs ended up spilling its secret. have a look. Early speculations is pegging the EcoBoost at 305+ horsepower and 375+ ft-lbs of torque.





do keep in mind that this is still a hand built preproduction car so I'm expecting the engine bay to get cleaned up quite a bit before it hits showroom floors...

I was going to say that I expected the engine to look a bit more, well, nice. Good to see this, but it just leaves me wanting to know what the EcoBoost engine is going to look like in the actual production Mustang.

Cleaned up and badged too. I'd love to see a mustang badge acting as a center piece on that cover.

has coolant always been orange?

Yeah the current out going generation has orange coolant, typical of ford.

it's a commonly used coolant from Ford, nothing new here, but new to us as we now are familiar with whats being used.
