For showed the Focus RS today, using the same 2.3L it makes AT LEAST 320/320, matted to a 6 speed and intelligent torque vectoring AWD... Its mean, it looks mean, and as of now it may of put my Mustang plans on hiatus...

Hatch for sure, we haven't had anything as nice as this to my knowledge for a while, I know i'd take advantage of the opportunity here to get one, it's hard not to.

Its going to come down to cost inevitably...
Yep its going to be sweet.. Big player is going to be price? It cant be over priced. But the AWD in the performance market has always been a huge with the all popular Subaru WRX and Rally crowd.. For me i went with the Mustang. I had a WRX and just couldnt get into the style of the Hatch.. I liked it but just wasnt my style.. Loved the AWD tho..

Good point! I just want something fun, I've had a mustang for a long time (new in '86) and I will continue to have one, the question im kind of wrestling with now is, should we try something different just for the difference...

I'm also kinda of getting the feeling the S550 is going to get the Focus' new AWD system...(at some point)
If your looking for a more hardcore machine its definitely going to be the RS, I think around a track it will definitely be quicker then a PP stang and who knows Ford might dump a few more ponies in by launch, 350 would be a perfect number if you ask me
Looks like 350+ hp might be the number.....These are two completely different cars sharing a similar engine platform.

Nice video at Goodwood....

The Ecoboost Mustang is built for fun cruising with the ability to squirt out a blast from time to time without being hardcore.

The RS is simply a 4 wheel drive Demon.....reminds me of works subarus from the '90's but this one will have wicked technology as well.

I expect that the price point will be far above my base eco with sport package that I got for $31k CDN...I would suspect at least 50% more $$$ in my market.

I looked at a Focus RS at my local dealer last week when I was in for my Mustang's first oil change. they were marking it at $5k over list. PASS

Just need to shop around a bit is all. When the '03 Cobra's came out dealers were putting local markup's on them of $10K in some places! I drove up to Marshall Mize Ford in Chattanooga TN where I was able to pick one up for sticker. Wasn't a single Ford dealer in Alabama that would sell one for MSRP.
