Another EcoBoost??

Theres talks that the 2.3L 4 will not be the only EcoBoost engine on tap for long. Ford is currently working on a 2.7L V6 EcoBoost engine, codename Nano, that is expected to pull duty in the F150, but there are more than a few grumblings that the Mustang will either see the 2.7 itself or a bored out 3.0L derivative.

the 2.7 is said to crack out 320 ponies and 375 lb-ft of twist, so I'm sure a bored out 3.0 could make the nut at 350 HP/400 lb-ft.

Theres also talks that the 3.5 EcoBoost from the Taurus SHO and flagship F150 could also make its way into the mustang as an upgrade option on the Coyote 5.0

Any idea when this will be release?
I have a feeling they will milk the heck out of the 2.3 and then offer the 2.7. Car makers always tend to do this which is a piss off. But it does fill their wallets.

I dont know, I think they might offer two N/A engines and two FI engines like the F150.

Keep in mind the 2.3 4 cyl is an option on the V6, I think the 2.7 V6 could be an option on the GT.
