Have only had the car a few days and all seems to be ok except for the passenger's side rear window. When I put the top up the window does not go all the way up. Off about 1/4 - 1/2 inch off but it can be pulled up almost to the same point as the drivers side window. It is not quite as even but looks like it would seal fine. I have warranty but is there a DIY quick fix?

Thanks in advance.

I am not sure what you mean by "index." However when you press the button to lower the top, all four windows go down before the top starts to move. Same thing happens if you have the windows raised with the top down when you raise the top (i.e., whenever raising or lowering the top, all four windows are in the down position before the top starts to move).

Also the two rear windows don't have separate switches. There is a single switch that raises or lower both rear windows together and it is not a one touch switch.

Okay, so when you initiate the top to either raise or lower, the windows automatically go down, or up all the way?

My 2017 convertible automatically lowers the windows all the way down when I open the top. When I close the top, the windows do not move. You have to manually toggle the window switches at which point the windows will go all the way to the top and seal inside the top's rubber channel. My 2006 Mustang convertible behaved the same way.

Well that rules out it being an indexing issue.

My 2017 convertible's passenger side rear quarter window was working fine for almost 2 years until last week. Then it stopped closing all the way leaving about a 1/2" gap near the top. Then I searched on google and learned that this is a very common issue on 2016-17 verts. So I took her into the dealership and they fixed it within 1-1/2 hours. I've copied the mechanic's notes from my invoice below:

VERIFIED PASSENGER REAR QUARTER WINDOWS DOES NOT FULLY COME UP. REMOVE PASSENGER QUARTER PANEL. FOUND REGULATOR BINDING ON TRACK. REMOVE QUARTER WINDOW. ATTEMPT TO REALIGN AND RETEST. STILL CONTINUE TO BIND GOING UP. REMOVE QUARTER GLASS. REPLACED WINDOW REGULATOR. TRANSFER OVER MOTOR. REINSTALL GLASS. REINSTALL REGULATOR. ADJUST AS NEEDED. REINSTALL PANEL. RETEST. CONCERN NO LONGER PRESENT.

I then got an opportunity to speak to the mechanic. He said this was not the first time he's seen the problem. Fortunately, they had the replacement window regulator in stock. I guess they figure they'll need them.
