Down at the Flat Rock plant, Ford will have their first 2015 Mustang roll off the production line today. An interesting point about Mustang production this time around is that workers will be building versions with right-hand drive.
The ceremonial roll-off of the first Mustang this morning will be attended by Joe Hinrichs, Ford president of The Americas, as well as Jimmy Settles, head of the Ford division of the United Auto Workers.
Ford invested $555 million in its Flat Rock plant to build the Mustang and add production of the Ford Fusion. 3,000 employees work on two shifts at the factory.
