The 2015 Ford Mustang is going to be less efficient than its predecessor in some configurations.

The V8 powered Mustang should return 15 mpg in the city and 25 on the highway with a manual transmission, and with an automatic transmission the same engine is supposed to produce 16 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway.

On the V6 model, the Mustang should return 19 mpg city and 28 mpg highway with a manual gearbox or 17 city and 28 highway with an automatic transmission.

The V8 and V6 models have worse fuel economy than the previous generation, but that's okay because there is the 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. That model will get up to 32 mpg -- 22/31 mpg city/highway for the manual and 21/32 city/highway with an automatic transmissino.

Thats ok, I think the GT crowd will be more than accepting oof the worse mileage figures because of the performance bumps.

It gets the larger intake and exhaust valves from the Boss 302 as well as a high-lift cam profile, valve springs and con rods from the Boss....
