Hello guys in new to this thread and I'm seeking some advice. I'm looking to add a cai to my ecoboost and I want to go with Roush but not sure if it is worth the price. Also I added the roush axle back exhaust already and wanted to know how it would sound if I added the cai? Any advice?

Is a CAI worth it? Probably not as far as a horsepower-to-dollar ratio is concerned with the car in stock form. Of course having the car tuned to take advantage of that CAI will make a much bigger difference.

Personally I went with the JLT CAI because of its ability to be modded if I decide to go with a larger turbo in the future.

I agree the CAI might not be much of an improvement.. And someone correct me if I am wrong but I think getting more flow through the downpipe then a tune are the two things that would make the most efficient gains.. CAI might not be the right "next step" in your process.. maybe downpipe AND CAI, then tune.. but don't run long on full exhaust mod without tune..

Was told CAI isn't worth it. I put Airaid Jr kit which is oiled filter and non-baffled intake tube from filter box to turbo. bottom line was it was cheaper from Ortiz Performance than any CAI and gain is noticeable. Too many mods needed to make CAI really worth it as stock airbox is pretty good since picks up air from grill.
