Model Mustang gets sent into space via weather balloon [video]
Ever wonder what your favorite car would look like in space? Well, if your favorite car is a Mustang, now you can set your mind at rest.
“We wanted to celebrate 50 years of Mustang and the impending arrival of the all-new 2015 Mustang by doing something really special,” said Michael Sego, San Francisco-area Ford sales manager. “Mustang has always been about getting behind the wheel and hitting the open road, but we decided to take to the open sky.”
The toy Mustang was attached to a high-altitude weather balloon along with a GoPro Hero HD3 action camera to record the process. The little Mustang flew up to a height of 110,000 feet above ground according to the GPS transmitter.
