Ford is showing off its use of 3D printing technologies by printing a 2015 Ford Mustang out of chocolate. Apparently it is the first 3D printed edible car model (making history). The models are a one-off things made for this video, but Ford says that it could license the Mustang out so that there could be Mustang candies sold.
"We wanted to create something fun to show that while 3D printing made these edible Mustangs, manufacturing-level 3D printing was used in the development of Ford's all-new sports car," said Paul Susalla, Ford supervisor of 3D printing.
This is one of the awesome things about 3D printing, we'll see all sorts of chocolate and candy being scaled down models of something and just about any cool shape. Basically anything that cant be done by hand.
