tuning a slightly modded S550 mustang

I tuned my '15 ecoboost mustang with the ford performance calibration and the GT 350 CAI set-up. I was wondering if anyone knew if to tune the ecoboost mustang with other tuners like SCT X4 or Cobb, would I need to tune everything back to stock or just change the tune/calibration back to stock? Can I keep the CAI set up from the GT 350 or do I need put the stock air assembly back? I know for sure I have to take the tune back to stock formation before adding another tune, but I'm unsure about the air filter assembly. SCT doesn't seem to know exactly what I'm trying to ask them.

please note guys, other than the tune and CAI, my car is bone stock.

yes if no longer want the FP tune, return to stock tune, certainly can keep the cai with a new tuner. if revert to stock and dont put new tune on you will need to remove the cai as it requires tune.

Yes you need to reload the stock tune in your ECM before marrying a new tuner to the car. As far as whether your CAI can still be used with a "canned" tune from a different company like SCT or COBB it would depend a little on the "canned" tune. It shouldn't lean out the A/F ratio to a dangerous level, but the only way to really know for 100% sure is to put it on a dyno and check it. Why not just go a step further and get the new tuner from a reliable tuner who will also supply you with custom calibrations? Just tell them that you have a CAI on the car and they can create a custom calibration to account for that. Some handheld tuners also double as a data logger so you can take the car our after you load the new calibration and do some street pulls, capture that data, and then send it back to the tuner for additional tweaking.

I ran the CAI without a tune for about 500 miles with no problems, I doubt a canned tune would alter the A/F ratio too much with the CAI, as the GT 350 air intake isn't radically different from the stock ecoboost air intake, they both have sensors the monitor the A/F ratio.

its hard to find custom tuners out here that charge less than $300 to do tunes, that's like a bare minimum here. I rather just pay $449 for a programmer with custom tunes from American Muscle. I can just tell them what mods ( my car only has the CAI and Ford tune) I have and they will just write the tune accordingly, I just need to tell them I have the GT-350 CAI so they can account for that, as the FP tune will be flashed back to stock.

This is exactly what I'm suggesting. Purchase your tuner from a respectable source and then they will work with you to create a custom calibration. As stated before some of the handheld tuners will also data-log so it's easy to send data-log files back to the tuner so he or she can tweak the tune as necessary.
