Exclamation car keeps cutting out when hitting the pedal hard

Car keeps making shuttering/ rattling noises at around 4500-5000 RPM when stepping on the gas hard, it acts like it cuts out at above 4000 RPM before finally acting normal. is that a fuel/air problem? a head problem? or a safety measure that the car has? I don't know what to think about this noise

This is purely a guess, but I'm wondering if you have one of the bad fuel pressure sensors that some EB owners got stuck with. I haven't had any issues with my car, but I decided to replace mine just in case. It only costs $20 and doesn't take 5 minutes to change it.

I had no symptoms, but others have had hesitation and loss of power. There are theories that bad sensors are related to the dreaded ecoboom.

Replacing it is simple: unplug the wire, unscrew the sensor, and replace it. Do it when the engine is cold to reduce fuel spill, and hold the fuel line with one wrench while you unscrew the sensor with another. Nothing to it.
