Only making 15psi of boost

Hey all, this is my first post on the forum. So about a week ago I installed a C&L bypass valve adapter on my mustang. Since then the car has been making a loud “whoosh” noise under throttle, even at the slightest press of the throttle. It still purges when letting off of the gas, but it should not be doing it under throttle. The second issue is the car is only making 15lbs of boost, I think this is seperate from the adapter because I’ve since removed the adapter and the car continues to be down on boost. Car is a 2015 mustang ecoboost manual transmission for reference.

Hey Comp_Orange_s550, welcome to the forum.

I wish I had an answer for your dilemma. Do/did you have any other mods on your car besides the bypass? It sure sounds to me like you may have a loose connection somewhere in the intake path.

My wife's almost bone stock (JLT CAI) AT '16 Ecoboost makes upwards of 21+ psi at full boost.

Thanks for the reply! I actually took the stock bypass valve off yesterday and noticed that it was broken. I dropped it when originally installing the bypass valve adapter and I’m guessing it probably broke then. I have a new one coming in soon though so hopefully that was the problem!
