2.3L Ecoboost Fuel Economy?

Figures for the 2,3L Ecoboost engine were released today, for the MKC. I know its not the same thing but this is as close as we have right now.

The MKC is detuned vs the Ecoboost mustang, so with ONLY 285 ponies and 305 lb-ft of twist the 2.3L will do 18 mpg city and 28 mpg highway. However as our European friends surely know that number increases for Europe due to their different measurement of miles per gallon...

Some detailed conversion info :

3.78Ltr is a gallon
1L unleaded 95oct is about € 1.55,- ($2.11,-)
A gallon in Belgium would be : $7.97,- (What's the price in USA these days ?)

18MPG = 10.1L / 100Km (€ 15.65,- = $21.31,-)
28MPG = 15.7L / 100Km (€ 24.33,- = $ 33.12,-)

Was more hoping on 8 to 12Ltr...
15.7Ltr is more than my Volvo XC90 3.2L 6 in Line (13L) !!

Of course the MKC doesn't have the same amazing shape which will for sure help to get these values down...!!

yes thats true, plus I believe the 2.3L in the MKC is locked into the AWD pack, increasing drive-line losses. Not to mention the MKC is a heavier vehicle...
