S550 driving mode toggles

Honestly this has got to be one of my favorite little features of the S550!

Quote:
Those models were equipped with the 3 mode driver selectable steering system as well as the 4 mode drive mode settings with steering options included Comfort, Normal and Sport while the 4 drive modes will be Snow/Wet, Normal, Sport and Track.
These different steering and drive modes seem to be fully independent so a driver of the 2015 Mustang GT or EcoBoost could pick the Track drive mode and Comfort steering provided that is what they like the most.
I think that is absolutely stellar! However I'm not sure if the modes fiddle with suspension settings as well...

Love it, every bit of new info coming out about the S550 makes it look better and better. Can't wait to get behind the wheel of one

Oh indeed, I'd love to fiddle with all the settings.

Comfort steering sounds like max assistance, normal is neutral and sport should be heavy. I'm betting Wet/Snow will ratchet back throttle response, Sport should up the throttle response and likely cut back the aids to allow a bit more pitch through heavy cornering, Track will obviously sharpen the throttle to a hairline trigger and hopefully will kill TC completely.

BUT, interestingly its been said that Track mode will not be a full bypass of the aids, so stability will still be involved and perhaps a small degree of TC. However I'm sure there will be a manual bypass, always is

About those aids and nanny systems, all I care is that they can be easily disabled, if Ford knows whats good for them which is of course good for the consumer, they will purposely do this. If not, just let aftermarket companies catch on.

welllll, its not always completely beneficial to allow consumers access to the unbridled and raw capabilities the S550 owns. Sure it sounds great LET US DO WHAT WE WANT, until some joe sixxer bypasses the nanny's and launches himself into the side of a local church. Then you know who's to blame right, FORD obviously because they didn't try and restrain joe sixxer from the awesome power of the weaponry they so maliciously sold him.

I didn't make the rules but you know this is how the game goes now

That is true, usually there ends up being a way around it, but of course that comes from aftermarket companies that state it's for "off-road" use (like anyone actually sticks to JUST that)
