2015 Ford Mustang will be equipped with four different driving modes

The new 2015 Ford Mustang will be launched with a new Selectable Driving mode feature that will allow the driver to choose between four different driving modes.

This is two more driving models than the 2014 model. The two new driving modes are Snow/wet and Track.

“We have a new selectable driving mode feature in 2015 and so we're going to allow you to choose between Snow/Wet, Normal, Sport and Track,” Pericak said while taking about the reasons the 2015 Mustang was benchmarked against the Porsche 911. “The 911 does a great job when you change its driving modes, all of the systems change pretty dramatically,” he added.

There is plenty more to read about in this interview that AutoEvolution did with the 2015 Mustang Chief Engineer. --> 2015 Mustang Chief Engineer Interview: Can't Wait for People to Drive It!

They almost had no choice to do this with it being a world vehicle. At least configured this way it truly is a practical vehicle no matter where you're located

That depends on what specific model.
But I think it's safe to say it's set up to dominate it's direct segment

before anyone is wondering

Question :Speaking of these modes, how do they affect the stability and traction control?

Answer: Well, quite a bit. When you select each, you change three main things. One is the steering effort, the other is the Electronic Stability Control (the level that it's set at) and then the engine and throttle response calibration.
So NO it does not change suspension damper settings.

So not sure how thats comparable to the Porsche as I believe the Porsche adjusts the dampers as well.

this will be cool.
my guess is we can set it so it can easily get sideways on snow or dry pavement and another for pure traction, keeping it planted to the ground

Not really. I think it just adjusts throttle response and traction control to be honest with you. It doesnt change the actual traction available for you... Nor does it adjust the suspension settings.

Yep. Horsepower FOR THE WIN

The M3 does have better handling dynamics.

But the power of the GT along with the sticky stock tires really does great things for the GT.
