Performance cams

I'm looking to get the ford racing cams for my EB but I'm curious of the pros and cons? Anyone have any advise or reviews about them? Power increases?

Cool Cam

Hi,
Any bigger cam should be for racing only as it will put too much unburnt gas into the catalytic converter. Also it will move the torque band up 500 to 1000 rpm so you actually lose low end torque on the street. Probably lose 5 mpg also. That said it would be a real screamer with big exhaust and boost, need a custom tuned ecu.
Perry.

Factory ordered 2015 Mustang, Ruby Red, Automatic, Aluminum spare tire with jack.

What if you already have gotten rid of the cat converter and have a cat back exhaust with high flow cat downpipe? Plus a tune obv.

The Ford Performance cams for the EBM are the same cams that come in the FoRS. Honestly, they only made a few hp over the baseline on a car with a ported head, bigger turbo, etc. Even though they're a low cost item, the amount of time, effort, and resources to install them wouldn't provide a sufficient return.

If you seriously want cams, I'd recommend waiting till an aftermarket company releases something more robust. It's also worth nothing that the factory valve springs and related components would need to be upgraded as well. The factory springs are relatively weak and would take a huge crap with upgraded cams.

Gonna take a lot more mods than just a cam & tune to run a 9.2 in an EBM!!!!
